Elvire JEAN-JACQUES MAUROUARD, origine from Haiti, obtained her Doctorate in (Modern Literature) from University 8 Paris. She is a teacher and author of an essay entitled “THE BLACK WOMAN IN THE Haitian Novel: Black, hybrid, almost White: to think discrimination of intra-community' appeared in 2001 in the Editions of Writers. Moreover, she contributed in the Revue of History 'The Rings of the Memory', and in the revue of poetry 'Agora'. Her research interests also include the representation of the black woman in Baudelaire and Théophile Gauthier. She published in March 2004 tales and poems of 'Savoury and Racy Islands' in the Editions of Writers. She has just finished writing a book on Charles Baudelaire.
